About Moi

Oct 8th 2017:

Not really a full about moi page yet but for now a few things:

I’ve had this domain and blog for a few years now and never did anything with it. The point of it was supposed to be to document my travels (particularly those by motorcycle, although not exclusively) as well as my photography. I think to have any chance of going with this blog and continuing with it I will need to basically feature all of my favorite photos, whether traveling or not. I do live in NYC though so for anyone who has never been here or loves to see different angles of the city maybe that is good news.

Equipment: Italics = Sold (the motorcycles) or broken (the camera section)

The Motorcycles.
Aug 2016 to Present -2009 Yamaha FZ6 in Black (Greatest Voyage SO FAR – Purchased in Colorado and rode home to NYC. Also rode NYC to Maine and Back)
May 2012 to Sept 2016 – 2006 Yamaha FZ6 in Blue (Greatest Voyage – NYC to CA and back. Entire length of Route 66 for westbound trip)
Sept 2010 to May 2012 – 2000 Kawasaki Ninja 250 (Greatest Voyage – Philly to Key West, Florida and back. For return trip 1000 miles in less than 24 hours although I never submitted my paperwork to Iron Butt Association)

The Cameras

Cannon AE-1. Running mostly Kodak Tri-X 400 35MM film.
Samsung Note 3, a broken Note 4, waiting on an LG V30 to arrive on Tuesday. Sometimes you need to take photos with what you have and for me often that has been the camera on my phone. When I eventually post NYC to CA pictures those were taken on my old Mytouch 4G Slide. I dont think I will be posting anything older than that though if I do I will add the cameras or camera phones to the list.
Samsung NX1000 Mirrorless Camera (This was my best camera to date although it just stopped working all of a sudden about a year or two ago. Eventually I hope to replace it with a full frame mirrorless  or DSLR camera. I like the mirrorless ones for size while traveling. I have been drooling over the Sony A7r ii so if I am lucky that may be my next camera.)
